Precautions&#xA0;1. Brass (&gt;59%Copper) or copper alloy (&gt;95% Copper) are soft metals. They cannot withstand high torque, over-tightening it will likely break the nozzle body. It is recommended to install Durozzle nozzles with gentleness, apply just enough torque during installation to avoid destroying the part.&#xA0;2. Ruby is very hard but also brittle. Hitting the nozzle tip with hard surface may shatter the ruby tip. After installation of nozzle, users always need to re-calibrate Nozzle Offset/Z-level/Nozzle Height&#xA0;value to avoid crashing the nozzle tip onto the build platform. As nozzle crashes is the major cause of death of ruby nozzles.&#xA0;Installation&#xA0;Step 1: Gather the necessary toolsBefore you begin, make sure you have the following tools:<ul data-mce-fragment="1"><li data-mce-fragment="1">Wrench or socket set</li><li data-mce-fragment="1">Heat-resistant gloves</li><li data-mce-fragment="1">Clean cloth or paper towel</li><li data-mce-fragment="1">New 3D printer nozzle&#xA0;</li></ul> Step 2: Heat up the printer and Unload filamentUnload filament before swapping nozzle. This could prevent material contaminating the threaded region of heater block. Heat up the existing nozzle to 180&#x2103; to loosen it.&#xA0; Step 3: Remove the old nozzleUsing the wrench or socket set, carefully loosen and remove the old nozzle from the hot end of the printer. Be cautious as the nozzle may still be hot. Use the heat-resistant gloves to protect your hands.&#xA0; Step 4: Clean the hot endTake the clean cloth or paper towel and gently wipe away any excess filament or debris from the hot end. This will ensure a clean surface for the new nozzle to be installed.&#xA0;Step 5: Install the new nozzleTake the new 3D printer nozzle and carefully screw it into the hot end. Use the wrench or socket set to tighten it securely, but be careful not to over-tighten as this can damage the nozzle or hot end, follow common sense,stop tightening when you feel its tight.If the heater cool down before installation of nozzle, user need to heat up the nozzle again and further tighten the nozzle while hot. This is import to prevent leakage.&#xA0;Step 6: Re-measure the Z-Value/Nozzle Height This is a very important step. The Z-value, very likely will change after switching to new nozzle. If you print directly using the old value, the print will either printed too high or nozzle will be too close to bed. Both cases in the worst scenario could be detrimental to the nozzle or the printer.&#xA0;Some printers will do this before each print job (eg. If there is blockage in the ruby nozzle tip, we recommend following methods to unblock the nozzle:&quot;Cold Pull&quot;Cold pull means heating up the nozzle while the filament is still loaded in the hotend. Preheat the hotend to melting temp and then let it cool downs. When its temperture is below melting temp and the material is about to solidify, pull out the filament from the hotend by hand quickly. This will pull out the blocking material altogether with the filament. However some printer extruder design do not allow cold pull to be done, so please consider following methods:1. Using SolventSubmerge the nozzle in an organic solvent overnight to dissolve the blocking material. This is the most effective method but also require chemical solvents such acetone.&#xA0;2. Physically Unblocking.Use a 0.4mm needle to push through a block when the nozzle is heated up. It is better to push out the block from the back of the nozzle. Be careful not to break the tip with too much force.&#xA0;

Apply thermal paste, put on the ceramic heater, temp sensor, metal clip. Install the hotend to print head and heat up to 200C.&#xA0;Use the one 7mm wrench to hold the heater block and use the other to tighten the nozzle. Be careful not to over-tighten it as this could destroy the nozzle.
